The New Orleans Saints have a strong receiving core at wide receiver. That being said, you can never have too many experienced pass catchers at the NFL level.

The Saints have veterans like Michael Thomas, Tre'Quan Smith, and Bryan Edwards on the roster. Young WR Chris Olave looks like a young star. A.T. Perry could be a strong force as a rookie. There is a veteran that the Saints seemingly have interest in right now, and adding him would round out the room – most likely.

WR James Washington is visiting the Saints on Monday.

Washington spent last season with the Dallas Cowboys. He did not play at all for them, though. He did, however, work his way back from injury. His time in Pittsburgh to begin his career was intriguing. From 2018-2021, Washington totaled 1,629 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Washington can be an intriguing downfield target, and he has proven that. That being said, his health and drops have been a concern so far in his NFL career.

Now, he is looking for another opportunity for playing time, and the Saints could provide that. Keep an eye on it this week.
