Saints offense hits a new low that dates back to the early 2000s

The New Orleans Saints have seen their fair share of struggling offenses in franchise history. That being said, the last twenty years have brought a lot of good offense to The Big Easy.
Thank you, Drew Brees, Sean Payton, and co. Now, it is a new chapter, and it hasn't been an easy one for the Saints offense. Injuries and quarterback uncertainty have hindered them since Brees' retirement.
They think they've found stability with Derek Carr, but only time will tell. One current Saints stat will make their fans shudder, though.
The Saints haven't scored 30 points in a game since their 42-34 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 7 last season. That's 13 games without hitting 30 points.
It is their longest stretch without scoring 30 since 2004-2005.
That era of the Saints wasn't the prettiest picture for their fan base.
The QB play has been a big reason for this current stat. They've found no consistency. Andy Dalton was quite rough for stretches last season, and Jameis Winston hasn't quite found his footing because of injuries. The play-calling from Pete Carmichael Jr. has done them no favors, either.
Regardless, this slump is one that New Orleans must break out of on multiple occasions this season. The defense is very impressive, but they cannot rely on them to shut down every NFL offense they face weekly.
The Saints offense has the talent to put up points in a big way going forward. They've gotta prove it now.
