The black and gold are getting healthier. The New Orleans Saints had arguably their most exciting injury report of the season on Friday. Yes, you read that correctly.
After weeks, of frustrating lists of injuries, many impactful players are slated to return for the Saints in Week 8, as they try to end a five-game losing streak.
Taysom Hill ready to return
Taysom is one of biggest names that lacks a game status for Sunday against Los Angeles. Hill has not played since Week 4 when he suffered a rib fracture against the Atlanta Falcons.
They've missed him, both in the run and pass game. The Saints offense started off the season with some very strong performances with Hill in the lineup. His blocking and rushing abilities are unique, and Klint Kubiak could look to use Hill in even more ways with rookie QB Spencer Rattler as the starter for Week 8.
Carr not expected to return yet
Carr is still recovering from his oblique injury. He is making progress but isn't ready to return to the field quite yet for game action. Rattler will start in his place against LA, but the veteran could return in Week 9 for the Saints.
He is listed as doubtful for Sunday against Los Angeles.
Olave clears concussion protocol
The Saints' top wide receiver has been cleared to return. He missed Week 7 against the Denver Broncos after suffering the concussion in the first quarter of New Orleans' Week 7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Cesar Ruiz and Pete Werner are also expected to be back this week after multi-week absences for both key contributors. The Saints are clearly the healthiest they've been in some time, so they must take advantage against the Chargers.

Only offensive guard Nick Saldiveri and wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. are listed as out.
