Kellen Moore brought Super Bowl mentality
According to new Saints safety Justin Reid, there is a clear culture that's being created by Kellen Moore. There's no mistake that this staff has a history of winning, and now, players are feeling that sort of mentality in New Orleans.
“First and foremost, it’s culture over everything,” Reid said. “The culture that’s built here and Coach Kellen, they just won the Super Bowl last year with Philly. He brought his strength staff over and a lot of those guys are familiar with winning. We have a lot of guys here who are familiar with winning. But the great thing, because I’ve been on mediocre teams, I’ve been on bad teams, I’ve been on great teams. And the culture in this locker room is right right now. We’ve got guys that believe in the system, that buy in. We don’t have bad character guys. And that’s the first step that you need in order to build a real team to go out and win.” — via Pro Football Talk
At just 36 years old, it is easy to doubt Moore's leadership. The players aren't doing that whatsoever, though. Instead, the Saints' new staff is pushing them to their limits so far at early practices for OTAs. There's been an "all gas, no brakes" sort of feeling that can breed success.
New Orleans' roster has plenty of veteran talent, but young guys must step up on both sides of the football if they have any chance at a division title this season under Moore's tutelage.
Getting veterans like Reid to buy in was an important task for Moore as soon as he took the job. Sounds like he's don exactly that in limited time so far in New Orleans. We will see how the season unfolds.

The New Orleans Saints officially have their 2025-2026 regular season schedule. Fans are ready, and the team needs to get back on track with new head coach Kellen Moore. Oddly enough, the Saints have no games on Thursday Night Football. Even with no primetime games at all, that's a nice, little advantage compared to many […]
