Injuries were the achilles heel of the New Orleans Saints last year. So far in training camp, they have stayed relatively healthy. It's still early, though. Today, an important offensive player suffered an injury, unfortunately. Starting offensive guard Andrus Peat suffered a quad injury during practice.

The severity is unknown, but head coach Dennis Allen did not believe that it was as serious as Trai Turner's from last week. Turner is out for the season.

Peat has battled injuries throughout his career. He has never played a full season for New Orleans. In eight seasons as a Saint, he has played 11 or less games four times. Peat has played in just 17 games combined over the last two seasons.

Hopefully, this injury is not serious and won't force him to miss time in the regular season. Plenty of updates should be on the horizon for Peat.
