The NFL Top 100 list is annually one of the most discussed pieces of the offseason. Players vote on who they believe are the top 100 players in the league. It is normally picked apart by fans of every team. This year, Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore came in at #89. That's three spots lower than he was on last year's list.
For Lattimore, last season was a bit of a mixed bag. At times, he played like a top five CB in the NFL. At other times, especially when injured, he struggled against some of the top opposing targets. Regardless, the ranking is probably a bit too low.
Lattimore is already behind players like Patriots QB Mac Jones and Cardinals RB James Connor. Some more questionable ranking ahead of him may follow. Those two, among others, are good players, but they probably shouldn't be ahead of the Saints star cornerback. He is heavily considered a top 10 CB in the NFL, and his peaks are certainly that of a top 5 player at his position.
The Saints need him to be more consistent. His health will play a role in that, though. if he can stay on the field and at full strength, it is much easier to project him to outplay this ranking on this list.
There are sure to be many more Saints players included on the top 100. Keep an eye out to see who gets a ranking next.
