New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is a stand-up person. His teammates and coaches would all agree on that.

After Week 1, the new starter for the Saints showed that once again. Even after a rocky end to his Raiders' career, Carr made sure to text Raiders HC Josh McDaniels to congratulate him on the team's Week 1 victory.

It was well-documented that Carr's tenure with his previous organization did not end in the best of ways.

Both sides needed a fresh start. Carr even said that his situation with the Raiders even made his wife cry at one point. By then, there was no turinnig back for the veteran QB.

Luckily for him, the Saints were ready to welcome him with open arms. Dennis Allen always had a strong relationship with Carr, and the QB found immediate chemistry with his offensive targets and the rest of the staff.

The offense still needs to make improvements, but the Saints have no doubts in Carr as their starter or leader for the offense right now.
