The New Orleans Saints don't believe that they have a quarterback 'issue' anymore. They believe that they have an answer.

That answer? Veteran gunslinger Derek Carr. Their new QB has received rave reviews from staff and teammates, but how does he feel about being in New Orleans with these fans and team around him going forward?

In one word, he is confident. Carr joined SiriusXM's Mad Dog Sports Radio with host Adam Schein this past Tuesday. He discussed a plethora of topics, but Carr couldn't overstate how excited he was to play in front of his new home crowd with his new squad.

"Hopefully, we'll be able to score some points this season and let our defense get that crowd behind them, get the city behind them, because they're really playing for the whole city. When you hear us on defense, it's really the whole city going nuts."

Carr is clearly ready to 'get this show on the road' for the Saints.

With the Raiders, they never seemed to give him a top-flight defense. The Saints have the potential to do exactly that during his time with the team. Not to mention, his weapons are impressive on the offense, too. If Carr finds early success, it will only give the team more motivation to help him, and the fans will have their faith restored in the QB position in New Orleans.

Only time will tell, but Carr isn't backing down from a new challenge as a proven starter in the NFL.
