The New Orleans Saints made a big addition to their offense on Wednesday. They are signing veteran tight end Foster Moreau to a three-year deal. Moreau, a Louisiana native, reunites with quarterback Derek Carr after their time with the Raiders together.

The duo was very close during their time there, and Moreau fills a massive need for the Saints. The Saints extended Juwan Johnson earlier this off-season to be their starting TE, but they lacked depth – especially after trading away Adam Trautman. Now, they have depth, and it is even better than it was a season ago in New Orleans.

Carr is certainly excited to have his buddy join him on the sidelines once again. He and Moreau had a strong connection production-wise as well. In four seasons, Moreau totaled 1,107 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns, and 59 first downs with the Raiders and Carr.

He will provide solid depth behind Johnson as well as give the Saints more opportunities to have two tight ends on the field at once. This move helps the offense in every single facet. Carr knows that, too.
