The New Orleans Saints coaching staff continues to cycle. With impending changes on the horizon, one of their longtime assistants has chosen to go his own route.
Quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Ronald Curry is leaving the Saints to join the Buffalo Bills.
According to multiple sources, the Saints were prepared to make Curry their new wide receivers coach in order to keep him on staff, but he chose a new, upgraded role elsewhere.
As of now, the only piece of offensive staff that will carry over from last season is tight ends coach Clancy Barone. The rest of the unit will be made up of guys that Klint Kubiak, the impending offensive coordinator, chooses. He's getting essentially an entire new group to work with in New Orleans.
The Saints needed an offensive reset, so the moves make sense. That being said, Curry is a great offensive coach with a decade of NFL experience. He had been with the Saints since 2016.
Saints’ new coach will give fans what they begged for
A huge change to their game plan.
