The New Orleans Saints need a spark. Star running back Alvin Kamara is doing his absolute best to provide that.

After their loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, Kamara addressed the team.

At its surface, some may think that this is just a normal meeting for a struggling squad. For the Saints, it's a bit different.

New Orleans has played with a certain type of fire and swagger over the years. This year, that seems to be lacking in a big way. Kamara, along with other stars on the team, have noticed, including linebacker Demario Davis.

Both Davis and Kamara are correct.

The Saints are lacking passion on the field, and it shows in their performances. The defense is not playing with an intensity that we are used to seeing from New Orleans.

On offense, there are flashes of excitement, but they are few and far between right now. That being said, swagger and emotion come from success.

The Saints are not having much of that as of late, especially on defense. Causing turnovers have not been a strong suit, and missed tackles have plagued them all year. Improving in those aspects will create a better vibe.

It will be interesting to see how the Saints come out against the Raiders next week after this meeting. Kamara isn't always the most vocal player, but he knew he had to step up as a star veteran for a Saints team that has play with fire going forward this season.
