The New Orleans Saints suffered a horrible loss in Week 3 to the Green Bay Packers. Even further, they lost their quarterback.
Derek Carr suffered apparent shoulder injury, but the Saints got some good news regarding the injury after the game. It's an AC Joint injury for Carr, but it is not as serious as originally believed.
The timetable for his injury can vary.
At times, an AC Joint sprain can force a QB to miss two weeks. In other instances, a QB has missed 8-10 weeks for the injury. Regardless, the Saints cannot rush Carr back. He needs to recover on his own timeline.
The offense is noticeably less explosive and more hit-and-miss with Jameis Winston at quarterback, but further injury cannot be risked before Carr is healed up for New Orleans.
No matter what – Carr and the Saints voided an absolute disaster. Hopefully, he can return at full strength for the Saints sooner rather than later.
