The New Orleans Saints have a great social media team. They regularly go viral for funny or motivational posts during the season and throughout the offseason. They work hard, and it shows.

Their players are almost always at the center of their best content, and that's no different with their latest idea for the summer.

Saints reveal new social media series

As the tweet notes, their first player for the series is linebacker Willie Gay Jr.. The veteran LB joined the Saints in free agency after winning back-to-back Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Gay is a high energy, athletic linebacker that consistently made important plays during his time in KC. He was a fan favorite on defense. Now, Saints fans get to see a look behind the curtain into Gay's personal life. It's a cool idea.

The Saints just posted the final part of Gay's series.

The videos include direct interviews with the linebacker alongside plenty of on-field clips from his entire football career. This is the type of offseason content that fans should care about around the NFL.

Demario Davis had some positive words about Gay in late May

Clearly, he is a very well-respected player, both from teammates and opponents. Not to mention, his college alma mater still loves him. Mississippi State hosted Willie Gay Jr. Day in March.

All in all, this is some great content from Gay via the Saints' social media team. Keep an eye out for more out of the Hometown Hero series from their accounts.
