New Orleans Saints rookie Bryan Bresee has been coming along quite nicely for their defense over the offseason. His impact has been clear throughout two preseason games.
On Wednesday, Bresee had to leave practice a bit early for a tough reason. Bresee got poked in the eye during team drills. It isn't expected to be a serious injury for the rookie, so he should not miss much time at all.
The first-round pick by the Saints in this year's NFL Draft will see the field plenty in his inaugural season. Avoiding injury will be key, and luckily, today's was just a freak accident for the former Clemson Tiger.
The Saints are excited about Bresee's physical upside and ability to be a game changer on their defensive line. They'll need him to stand out after being one of the worst run defenses in the NFL a season ago.
