The New Orleans Saints made a great decision for their wide receiver room on Tuesday afternoon. They kept rookie WR A.T. Perry for the initial 53-man roster.

Perry was a preseason standout, and he looks like a day three steal from the 2023 NFL Draft.

Perry's downfield ability can be quite useful as depth for the Saints. he showed off that ability on multiple occasions during the preseason, and he already has a connection with new quarterback Derek Carr. They've meshed well during practices.

He also had his breakout game to open the preseason against the Kansas City Chiefs. If fans didn't know him before, they did after that game. Many have been rooting for him to make the team since that game, and they got their wish.

This choice was a no-brainer for the Saints. If they didn't keep Perry, it would have been a bit of WR malpractice, considering their other depth options.
