The New Orleans Saints are getting a reinforcement on the offensive side of the football. Running back Jamaal Williams was designated to return from the injured reserve on Tuesday.

Williams missed four weeks with a hamstring injury.

The veteran and newly-signed RB for New Orleans practiced on Tuesday as well.

Williams was listed as a limited participant on both Monday and Tuesday for practice. It remains to be seen if he will play on Thursday, but his status seems to be trending in a positive direction.

Williams led the NFL in touchdowns last season, so he could add another important piece to a red zone offense that has been horrific so far for the Saints this season.

The veteran RB is certainly excited to be back and contribute for New Orleans. It will be intriguing to see his role alongside Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller.
