The New Orleans Saints are repeating themselves, in a very bad way, after their shutout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The season has not gone as planned, and honestly, that's kind of an understatement. Injuries have killed the team, and the coaching staff isn't living up to expectations.

The offense isn't staying consistent, and the defense at times can't stop a cold it seems. There just is no in-between, as it seems every week it's up and down.

For instance. Last week the Saints got a great win over the Rams. This week, the Saints were shut out by the 49ers.

The 49ers are a good team, too, and it seems these two have had some battles over the years, but, if you look back, there have also been some duds.

The Saints didn't score a single point on Sunday. Not a single one. Remember what they did to the Raiders a few weeks ago, and how we were hyping the team up after that game?

That's probably what the 49ers are doing now.

According to CBS Sports, the last four times the Saints were shut out, were all by the 49ers, which is crazy to say.

It's even crazier to think that the Saints could have had points on the board and avoided embarrassment, as they had five red zone trips on the day.

"Well, look, what I was pleased with is that we gave ourselves a lot of opportunities," Dennis Allen said on Monday.

"I felt like, in the second half I felt like we actually moved the ball pretty effectively offensively. We didn't capitalize on some opportunities that we had.

Yeah, they had opportunities, but those opportunities didn't translate, so frankly it didn't matter.

The Saints are repeating themselves in a bad way, to say the least.
