In Week 2, the Saints got a tough, rocky victory over the Carolina Panthers. The Saints are now 1-0 in NFC South play, while the Panthers drop to 0-2.
With the win, New Orleans got another impressive performance by their defense. At every level, they made impactful plays. According to Saints PR, their defense has now given up 20 or fewer points in ten straight games for the first time in franchise history.
Marshon Lattimore is playing like the best cornerback in football. Carl Grnaderson and Cameron Jordan are a very impressive pass rush combo. The interior DL is improved from last year. The linebacker corps is very consistent with Demario Davis and Pete Werner headlining it.
Overall, the Saints are ridiculously talented, and Dennis Allen is proving his value as a defensive play-caller.
As for the offense, they need to start providing a bit more for their elite defense.
