The New Orleans Saints officially have their 2023 regular season schedule. The NFL unveiled every team's schedule on Thursday evening, and the Saints have plenty of intriguing matchups. For New Orleans, the fireworks begin in Week 1 when the Tennessee Titans come to town to face the black and gold.

It will be the debut of Saints quarterback Derek Carr in New Orleans. As the team's home opener, there is plenty of pressure on them to get the job done.

As for the Titans, star running back Derrick Henry will face the Saints for the first time in his career. The Saints will have to game plan to slow down the future hall-of-fame RB to open their 2023 campaign.

Henry was not available when the Saints and Titans played in 2019 due to a hamstring injury. In 2021, the Titans held out Henry from their matchup with New Orleans due to a foot injury. As long as no injury occurs between now and then, it looks like the Saints will have their first chance to face the running back.

It will be a tall task for a defense that struggled against the run at times last season. With the additions of Khalen Saunders, Bryan Bresee, and Nathan Shepherd on the defensive line, the Saints believe that they've added plenty of talent to help with that this year.

New Orleans needs to be more stout against the run and create more pressure on the QB this season. That starts in Week 1 against Henry and the Titans.
