The New Orleans Saints shocked the football world recently when they agreed to terms on a deal with tight end Foster Moreau who is currently under treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. As they start rookie minicamp this weekend, the Saints put their pin to the paper of several other contacts as well.

New Orleans has signed four of their seven draft picks to their rookie deals.

New Orleans was desperate to address their defensive line after losing David Onyemata, Shy Tuttle, and Marcus Davenport in free agency. With their first two picks, the Saints selected Clemson defensive tackle Bryan Bresee and Notre Dame edge rusher Isaiah Foskey, and when added on to signing Khalen Saunders and Nathan Shepherd in free agency, plus re-signing defensive tackle Malcolm Roach, New Orleans handled their losses up front pretty well.

The Saints were infatuated with running back Kendre Miller before the draft, and they were able to wait until the end of Day 2 to snag him. Offensive lineman Nick Saldiveri may end up being one of the more important picks with the possibility of both starting guards being unrestricted free agents in 2024.

Fifth-round safety Jordan Howden is very experienced and has tremendous versatility which could get him on the field soon. Wide receiver A.T. Perry and his 4.47 speed at 6'3" with a 35-inch vertical were available in the sixth round which is wild considering he racked up nearly 2,400 yards and 26 touchdowns over his last two seasons in college.

Once the Saints get their other three draftees signed, a pretty promising class will officially be on the books.
