The New Orleans Saints have some cap space to make some free agency moves, and another one is expected tomorrow.

The team plans to sign former Raiders first-round pick Johnathan Abram on Wednesday. Abram is a safety.

Abram is hard-hitting box-style safety that hasn't quite lived up to expectations in the NFL. His coverage skills are lacking, but that was always the downfall of him as a prospect.

On the positive side, he is a high-energy defender that has made some splash plays in the past.

Abram most recently spent time with the Seattle Seahawks after Jamal Adams went down with an injury. Over the course of 43 games, Abram has 36 starts, three interceptions, fourteen pass deflections, and 267 total tackles.

He will slot in as a depth safety and special teams contributor for the Saints.
