The first-year QB got his first taste of a home game in Caesars Superdome. It seemingly elevated his play – as it was his best performance of the exhibition games. His touchdown pass to Equanimeous St. Brown was arguably the best throw by a Saints QB in all of the preseason.
Rattler made a few really impressive throws throughout the game. Some were caught, and some were not. All in all, he played well and enjoyed doing it in front of fans of the black and gold.

Rattler gleamed when asked about his first experience infant of Saints fans. If given an opportunity, a regular season appearance would surely impress the young quarterback even more.
The rookie also noted that he enjoyed having offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak on the sideline to call plays. Kubiak had called plays from the booth in the team's first two preseason games. It was clearly a notable change to the players.

Running back Jacob Kibodi noted Rattler's swagger in his postgame press conference. He also called him spectacular.
There's no doubt that Rattler has support in and outside of the Saints locker room. His hard work is showing up on film, and his leadership has been a key cog in his elevating respect.
We will see if Rattler opens the 2024 season as the backup quarterback or third-string option alongside Derek Carr and Jake Haener. All three will be on the 53-man roster.
