New Orleans Saints star linebacker and leader Demario Davis has missed a portion of training camp and the preseason due to injury. Luckily, it hasn't been projected as a long-term issue for the veteran.

He's been working his way back, and that Saints need him as their top LB. Davis has been working off to the side during practice over the past week, but he could join team drills soon.

Davis teased his return with a dapper social media post on Twitter and Instagram.

The Saints star was on the field for warmups against the Chargers this past weekend, too. He didn't play, of course, but that is another step in the right direction.

With Davis sidelined as of late, the Saints signed veteran LB Jaylon Smith last week. They've liked what they have seen from him so far. He projects to be LB3 with Davis and Pete Werner healthy.

Keep an eye on Davis' availability over the next couple of weeks as the season approaches for the Saints. Hopefully, he will be good to go in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans.
