Saints Raiders Kamara trade

There's plenty of unknown about the future of the New Orleans Saints.

The staff was shaky last season. They need a quarterback of the future. The depth of the roster looks to be depleting due to contracts and age.

Additionally, Alvin Kamara has a legal situation that still must be decided. The Saints star running back was arrested last year during Pro Bowl weekend for his involvement in a physical altercation.

The process has been slow, but there is some movement on his case.

A potential suspension looms for Kamara for next season.

Kamara is among four men indicted in the battery case.

Kamara's attorneys still plan on putting up a fight for their client. They released a statement regarding the progress of the case.

"The State has avoided a contested preliminary hearing by indicting Mr. Kamara. He intends to vigorously fight the allegations at trial as he was defending himself and others at the time of the incident,"

His team remains confident that they will come out on top in this case, but it is sure to move along much quicker than it did last year.

Kamara was not suspended at all last season due to the delays in the case.

The Saints may not get that lucky this season, depending on the outcome/decision. A suspension for Kamara would heavily impact their offense.
