The Saints are no stranger to elite production on offense over the past decade. QB Drew Brees broke countless records. WR Michael Thomas had one of the greatest seasons for a receiver in NFL history. RB Alvin Kamara has quietly had an extremely productive career. His significance on the ground and through the air has been special.

Since 2017, he only trails Ezekiel Elliott in total yards by a running back. Elliott has 7636 yards. Kamara has 7501 total yards.

The Saints RB is in front of players like Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, and Dalvin Cook. That may come as a surprise to some, but Kamara's upside in receiving production cannot be understated. In the open field, there are few players that are more difficult to tackle than Alvin Kamara.

In fact, Kamara has nearly over 1,000 more scrimmage yards than McCaffrey. He does have over 1,000 more than Dalvin Cook.

The Saints need Kamara to be a key piece in the offense this season. He will have less pressure on him compared to last year, though. The Saints added multiple weapons at receiver that will lighten his load a bit in that area. Jameis Winston will be back at QB, too.
