Young Saints player is already getting tips from a franchise legend to boost his NFL career
You already know he wants to learn as much as he can.
The NFL offseason is all about improvement. For one key New Orleans Saints offensive player, he is calling on a former star to give him some pointers.
Terron Armstead working with Saints OT Kelvin Banks Jr.
Via Armstead’s Twitter/X, he is helping young offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. with his technique at some workouts. He’s putting in the work to make sure the Saints have a long-term answer along their offensive line.
Armstead learned from legendary tackle Willie Roaf early in his career with the Saints, so it is no surprise that he wants to do the same for younger players in New Orleans.
Saints guard Cesar Ruiz was also involved in the videos posted by Armstead, so he is involved, too. We will see if some other players get in some reps with the former Pro Bowl OT during this offseason as well.
Keep in mind – the Saints added guard David Edwards to the roster during free agency. The offensive line in front of Tyler Shough last season was a bit inconsistent due to injuries, but the Saints want to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
Banks’ rookie season in 2025 had some very exciting moments, and he is clearly focused on finding even more consistency in year two and beyond. The duo of Banks and Taliese Fuaga may end up being a top tackle duo in the entire NFL by the end of the 2026 season.
