The New Orleans Saints aren't wasting any time trying to plug a certain hole.
With running back Alvin Kamara getting a three-game suspension, and Eno Benjamin going down with a torn Achilles, the Saints are hosting Kareem Hunt for a visit.
Hunt has spent his first two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs after being drafted by them in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He started his career with a bang as he lead the league in rushing as a rookie and made the Pro Bowl.
A videotape was released of Hunt assaulting a woman in November 2018 which led to his release. He was never charged with a crime for the incident after the victim failed to properly take it to court.
Hunt was signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2019, but he was suspended for the first eight games due to violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. He's spent the last four seasons as the primary backup to Nick Chubb who has made four consecutive Pro Bowls and was a second-team All-Pro in 2022.
Hunt would serve as a quality backup to Jamaal Williams while Kamara is suspended and provide great depth along with rookie Kendre Miller if he's signed.
