The New Orleans Saints may not lead the league in cap space, but that won't prevent them from making some free agency moves over the next week. Adding a pass rusher would be smart.

Former San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders EDGE Chase Young is apparently high on their list. He's a popular free agent around the NFL.

Young will visit with the Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Tennessee Titans this week.

Young is a former top five pick. He was taken second overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Since entering the league, he has shown some inconsistency. Some of that is due to injuries, unfortunately. In four seasons, he has totaled just 16.5 sacks. Young's totaled 100 tackles and 20 tackles for loss in his NFL career so far, though.

Adding a player with legit upside in free agency at EDGE and a notable draft prospect would be a smart plan for the Saints. Carl Granderson is a good edge rusher that plays the run nicely.

They must have an "after Cameron Jordan" group prepared for when he retires. His play has diminished in recent years.

The Saints would be smart to get Young on a two or three-year deal at an affordable price. Their competition is not the most competitive.
