The New Orleans Saints have their "trio" at wide receiver already in Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Rashid Shaheed. They are confident in those guys, but depth never hurt anyone in the NFL. Adding more talent as depth always makes sense, especially at skill positions.

The Saints are working out a couple of veteran wideouts this week at minicamp in Lynn Bowden Jr. and Keke Coutee. They're trying out for the team.

Coutee, 26, has spent time with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts. His most productive season was in 2020 when he totaled 400 yards on 33 catches for Houston. Bowden, 25, is less productive at the NFL level. He has just 211 total career receiving yards and 32 rushing yards.

Neither player would most likely be impactful adds for New Orleans right now. They have their top three carved out, and multiple other players jockeying for depth spots. A.T. Perry, James Washington, Bryan Edwards, and Tre'Quan Smith are the most notable options to round out the roster.

It's noteworthy that the Saints are looking at multiple WR options at this point in the offseason, though.
