The NFL made some social media waves earlier this off-season. The league announced that the number zero will be available for certain players to wear. Defensive backs, linebackers, quarterbacks, punters, kickers, running backs, fullbacks, tight ends, and wide receivers can all dawn the number.

For the New Orleans Saints, defensive back Ugo Amadi has chosen the no. 0 jersey.

Amadi won't be the first Saints player to wear No. 0 in team history, though. Before the NFL made it unavailable, defensive back Obert Logan wore No. 0 in the Saints’ first season in 1967. Accordingly, the recent addition to the secondary is making franchise history.

Amadi projects to be a depth DB for New Orleans who will look to grab a roster spot as a veteran. He has NFL experience at both cornerback and safety. We'll see if he locks down the new jersey number.
