The New Orleans Saints picked up an impressive win against one of the best teams in the NFC in Week 17.

They defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in convincing fashion. The Saints started off hot and got on the board early. Their defense had the Eagles' offense in quick sand for most of the game, too.

Philadelphia had one impressive drive early in the second half, but the Saints made adjustments.

Throughout the game, New Orleans controlled the clock. That was key to the victory because they needed to find success in the running game. Both Taysom Hill and Alvin Kamara had good days on the ground.

The Saints totaled 130 rushing yards against a solid Eagles defense.

A bulk of those yards came in the fourth quarter for the Saints as they salted away the game against Philly. The Saints' final drive was the difference in a close ballgame.

The Eagles could not put a stop to New Orleans' rushing attack with Taysom Hill. They knew what was coming and simply couldn't prevent it.

Saints tight end Adam Trautman discussed the final drive that gave the Saints a victory on Sunday.

"Honestly I was kind of surprised they couldn't really figure it out.

I think we ran the same play four times in a row. Like, the same play. Obviously, when you have Taysom back there, you don't need to
block everybody.

When you can run the ball, and they know you're running it, and you know you're gonna run it, and you can finish
the game? It's pretty impressive."

The veteran tight end is correct. The Saints did nothing unique on their final drive.

They simply had a lot of belief in their dominance upfront. New Orleans also had faith in Taysom Hill. They knew that his gritty demeanor and ball security could lock away the game against a top team in the entire NFL.

He did exactly that, and there was nothing that the Eagles could do about it.
