The NFC South should belong to the New Orleans Saints in 2023. Their counterparts are all in a new phase with an unproven or young quarterback. The Saints boast the best overall roster in the division, including a top ten defense.

According to OTA videos from Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers situation at QB certainly looks cloudy. Both Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask looked inconsistent.

The Bucs have discussed their confidence in either QB under new OC Dave Canales. That being said, Mayfield has been one of the worst starters in the NFL over the past two seasons when given the opportunity. Trask has seen no legitimate NFL experience so far, and his scouting report coming out of Florida was quite limited. His upside isn't overly-exciting as an NFL QB.

For the Saints, Derek Carr provides a good baseline at the position. With a solid OL and talented weapons, he should succeed. The Saints must take advantage of the QB woes around the NFC South this year.
