The New Orleans Saints won on Sunday, and they didn't even play.
No, not an actual win that will be added to their record, but a moral victory, you could say. And if I'm the Saints, I'll take any victory with how this season started for them.
The New Orleans Saints play the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football, which could be a treat. They could win or lose but still would have won the week for one specific reason.
The NFC South is very close this year, but not in the way you would want it to be. Every team has a losing record, so there is a huge possibility that the one team from this division because there will only be one, will have a bad record.
On Sunday in Week 9, that was only further proven, as every team but the Saints lost.
The Carolina Panthers lost big time to the Cincinnati Bengals, as their defense which has been okay for most of the year gave up nearly 50. The final score was 42-21.
The Atlanta Falcons lost by three to the Los Angeles Chargers, with a score of 20-17, as Justin Herbert was able to dice up their defense.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers played a close one against the Los Angeles Rams, as the score was 13-9 with two minutes left in the game. Brady drove the ball to the red zone but unfortunately couldn't convert the fourth down.
But Tom Brady was Tom Brady, and still found a way to win.
So, before the Saints even played a snap, they still get a win on the week. Two teams in the division lost, with one of them above the Saints. Now, we just need them to win on Monday.
