Former New Orleans Saints' head coach Sean Payton has certainly made some headlines since he stepped away from the team.

He has been on multiple networks for NFL coverage. Payton has also been a guest on many sports talk shows.

Yesterday, he may have hinted at his future.

On The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Payton discussed the Saints, Taysom Hill, and his possible future plans.

Clearly, this makes it sound like a reunion for Payton and the Saints is unlikely.

That has been the thought for awhile now, though. It is likely that he returns to coaching, but it probably will not be in New Orleans.

His comments on Hill can be taken lightly or as a bit of a hint. If Payton does return to coaching in the next year or two, could he make a move for the Saints' utility weapon?

Hill's price tag is not cheap, but his value to the Saints is undeniable. No one knows what his cost would be, but the former Saints' HC sounds interested.

As Payton describes, he does a ton of different jobs for the Saints including special teams and blocking work. Much of that goes unnoticed.

Payton also mentions that he called Drew Brees to discuss Hill's incredible game for the Saints from this past weekend.

One thing is clear. Sean Payton values Taysom Hill like few other people in football. Keep an eye on his return to coaching and what that may mean for Hill.
