The New Orleans Saints have quite the intriguing matchup on their schedule this weekend.
They'll face the Cleveland Browns. The game goes much deeper than that, though. Deshaun Watson is the quarterback of the Browns, and their offense hasn't been very efficient at all since his return.
The Browns' run defense is the worst in the NFL. It's actually historically bad. The Saints need to take advantage of that.
That isn't all, though. The weather is supposed to be absolutely frigid for the Saints-Browns matchup. Accordingly, sportsbooks don't have much faith in the teams' offenses.
The over/under for the game is the lowest it's been in fourteen years for an NFL game.
Clearly, the oddsmakers don't think that either team will be able to move the ball very well in the freezing temperatures. The estimated wind chill temperature for the game sits at -9 degrees at the moment.
Winds will affect both passing games plenty.
For the Saints, it means that they will need to run the ball more efficiently than they have for most of this season.
Alvin Kamara may need to have his best game of the season if the Saints want to get a victory. We may see more Taysom Hill in the game against Cleveland, too.
Tough passing conditions may force the Saints to play a hard-nose version of offense, more similar to what they ran last season.
Regardless, sportsbooks don't expect a shootout this weekend between the Saints and Browns. We'll see if they are correct.
