Winning is paramount for the New Orleans Saints. And each passing week only adds to the desperation.
But to beat the Las Vegas Raiders, it starts by limiting their superstar — Davante Adams.
In three games versus New Orleans in Adams' career, he has 14 catches for 143 yards.
He averages 47.7 yards a game and has yet to record a touchdown against New Orleans.
So, New Orleans has to do more of the same in regard to slowing Adams in the pass-catching game.
Adams' best game against New Orleans came in 2014 when he caught seven passes on nine targets for 75 yards.
His worst game came in 2017, only catching two balls on five targets for 12 yards.
Clearly, the Saints have his number.
And to win, New Orleans needs to have his number for one more meeting. If New Orleans gets a solid performance from the DBs and limit turnovers on offense, the NFC South is still in the cards for them. If not, the window gets a little bit tighter.
