Former New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees has a new gig for now. He is an interim assistant with his alma mater, the Purdue Boilermakers.
Unfortunately for them, they took a massive loss in their bowl game to the LSU Tigers.
Fortunately for many Saints fans, that means their favorite college football team grabbed a big win to put an exclamation point on a solid season for the Tigers.
After the game, Brees shared a special, emotional moments with some LSU players.
It is a sight to see for many Saints and Tigers fans because of Brees' career. The LSU players were ecstatic to see the legendary quarterback.
For Brees, it is unknown how long he will stay on staff at Purdue. He has said it is not a long-term stint with his former school.
Saints fans have been clamoring for Brees to join the staff in New Orleans soon, but that doesn't seem likely anytime soon.
