The LSU Tigers are national champions on the diamond. Under second-year head coach Jay Johnson, the Tigers reclaimed the Men's College World Series hardware for the first time since 2009. Yes, I did say 2009. It's quite a special year for multiple teams in Louisiana.

The New Orleans Saints took home their first Super Bowl win in the season following LSU's title victory in 2009. So, could that be a good sign for the Saints this year? It would certainly be quite the coincidence!

Keep an eye on LSU Tigers football, too. HC Brian Kelly is in his second year at the helm there. Johnson and LSU women's basketball HC Kim Mulkey just won championships in their second year on the job with the Tigers.

For the Saints, they are the class of the NFC South. they just need to take care of business in the division to grab a playoff spot. Once you're in – anything can happen. They could create an extremely cool narrative alongside the LSU baseball program.
