After Week 17, the New York Giants hold the second overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Despite the move back in the order, the Giants still sit in a perfect position to swing a deal to trade back with a team looking for a quarterback.

With that in mind, let’s dig into a mock draft with that exact circumstance. I produced a seven-round mock draft with PFF’s simulator to see what their class in the 2026 NFL Draft could look like. After I finished my mock, Ryan Roberts gave me a grade for my results to add an objective perspective.

These were the results.

New York Giants 2026 NFL Mock Draft results

In this mock draft, I aimed to replicate the 2016 trade between the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles for Carson Wentz. This netted the Giants many Day 2 picks that helped them find key starters at weak positions.

Giants Mock Draft Analysis

After making the trade, the Giants were positioned to attack several needs in this mock draft. Despite moving back to the 12th pick, I found an impactful starting outside cornerback with LSU’s Mansoor Delane. While he’d likely project outside, he has the tools to be a multi-use weapon, with a background playing safety at Virginia Tech.

The second round was where the damage was done, as I found an elite speedster in KC Concepcion and a new guard in Chase Bisontis. Concepcion can be a dynamic deep threat for New York, with the potential to serve as the team’s primary kick returner. Additionally, Bisontis is an underrated guard prospect from New Jersey with the potential to start as a rookie.

In the third round, I benefited from a slide for Oregon tackle Isaiah World. His draft stock has been in flux after being a preseason darling of the media. He still has the tools to become a future starter at tackle, and would enable the Giants to have the flexibility to bump Marcus Mbow inside. I also added a high-impact box safety with Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. He’ll be a riser throughout this process, given his elite athleticism for his size.

Day 3 was bountiful, as I landed a potential starting slot defensive back with Xavier Scott. His coverage skills are phenomenal and could take over as the primary nickel DB. Tim Keenan is a mauling defensive tackle to back up Dexter Lawrence. Kevin Coleman is a solid depth wide receiver, and Demsond Reid is a space-killing compact running back to round out the RB room.

Overall, this draft class boosts the talent at positions that are in significant need for the Giants, with potential to develop into future starters.

Giants Mock Draft Grade

“With the hope of getting the most out of quarterback Jaxson Dart, trading back is the best-case scenario for the Giants right now. Grabbing Mansoor Delane and KC Concepcion with the first two selections is tremendous. Delane gives the Giants a lockdown cornerback that they have needed for years, and Concepcion brings an after-catch threat that would be huge for a young quarterback. That would be an incredible start to the haul.

“If Isaiah World were to fall that far, it would be a homerun for the Giants, even if he has been up and down in 2025. Add in Bisontis, and that’s a nice addition for the offensive line group that has struggled mightily. With other talented names like Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, Xavier Scott, and Tim Keenan throughout for value, this is one of the better Giants drafts I’ve seen. That trade gave them many options to work with.” – Ryan Roberts
