The New York Giants are ecstatic about their rookie class. One of their day two picks got plenty of hype before draft day. That'd be former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt. Hyatt was a deep threat and production machine for the Vols. The Giants hope that he can continue to progress and turn into a solid option at WR in the NFL.
Clearly, another team's executive isn't a fan of Hyatt. An anonymous executive had some choice words for the Giants rookie wideout, according to The Athletic's Dan Duggan.
“Talented athlete, obviously elite speed… Questions are going to be the strength, and the kid is interesting. He’s just young, little squirrelly, maybe a little naïve. I don’t know if he totally gets it as far as being a pro. The executive doesn’t have off-field concerns with Hyatt, but said the questions about his personality help explain why he slid to the third round and was the 10th wide receiver drafted."
it's certainly an aggressive take from that front office member. Hyatt brings energy, but he's also just a confident talent at wide receiver. After all, he dominated during his final season at Tennessee. His final campaign with the Vols was special, so he deserves to have plenty of belief in his transition to the pros.
The Giants love his energy, so that's all that really matters. Keep and eye on Hyatt this season and beyond in New York.
