Giants give Jaxson Dart a shiny new weapon to form a lethal duo with Malik Nabers in a new 2026 NFL mock draft
A new 2026 NFL mock draft has the Giants landing a dynamic offensive weapon.
This offseason brought on a new era for the New York Giants with John Harbaugh at the helm.
How much that will change how the team operates during the NFL Draft is yet to be seen. With a top five in their hands, the team has the chance to speed up their rebuild and, more importantly, learn more about what they have in quarterback Jaxson Dart.
A new A to Z Sports mock draft has the team doing just that by giving Dart and the Giants offense a brand new weapon.

Giants select Ohio State WR Carnell Tate in a new mock draft
“New York’s wide receiver room incurred the loss of WanDale Robinson in free agency and traded that off so far with Calvin Austin III in free agency. John Harbaugh did successfully coax loyal soldiers in Isaiah Likely and Patrick Ricard from Baltimore to New York, but other than that, we have been stagnant on offense this offseason. Tate is a vertical receiver with big-play ability. He would pair with Malik Nabers to create headaches in trying to cap routes downfield amid Jaxson Dart’s big play eagerness.” – Kyle Crabbs, A to Z Sports NFL Draft analyst
A duo of Carnell Tate and Malik Nabers would have the potential to be one of the best in the NFL. Giving that type of firepower to Dart for his second season in the NFL would be a godsend.
Either the team sees Dart make the next leap in his career and moves forward with him as their franchise quarterback, or they continue building with him leading the Giants into the future. Or he isn’t able to convince Harbaugh that he can be a franchise quarterback in this league, even with a very talented wide receiver core, then I’d imagine he would have an easy time moving on from Dart and trying to draft his own in the coming years.
The beauty in the Giants’ selecting Tate is that, whether or not Dart proves himself to be the team’s quarterback of the future, there is a benefit to the team using the fifth pick in the draft on him. Having a duo of Tate and Nabers will be very enticing to veteran quarterbacks who could become available in the coming years, and will make them a top spot to land a first-round quarterback in the 2027 or 2028 NFL Draft.
It’s not often you find a move that can both help you in the present and prepare you for the future. That is what drafting Tate does for the Giants, though. No matter which door opens, they will be able to walk right through and be in a better spot than before, thanks to having the Ohio State wide receiver on their side.
