The New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys right out of the gate, as the two division rivals will match up on Sunday Night Football. Although it's only week one, the game could go a long way in shaping the NFC East this season.

New York will be looking to build on the success that the team enjoyed during its first season under Brian Daboll last year. That included a playoff berth and a postseason victory.

Now, the Giants will be looking to take that next step forward. New York finished third in the division last season. After trading for Darren Waller and making other roster moves, the hope is that the Giants will be even better this season.

With all of that said, here are three predictions for the Giants' anticipated week one matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

1. Darren Waller scores the first touchdown.

The Giants traded for Darren Waller in the offseason to improve the weapons that Daniel Jones is throwing the ball to. Waller is a Pro Bowl talent and immediately becomes the most proven target on the offense. He scores the first touchdown of the season for the Giants and sets the tone against the Cowboys.

2. Giants force a Dak Prescott interception.

Dak Prescott has had the Giants' number, as the Cowboys are going for its 10th consecutive win over New York with him behind center. But the Giants' aggressive defense forces a Prescott turnover in a tight game.

3. Isaiah Simmons makes his presence felt.

Another key offseason move, the Giants traded for former first-rounder Isaiah Simmons last month. Simmons never found his footing with the Arizona Cardinals, but he gets a fresh start in The Big Apple. It won't take long for him to make his presence felt in Wink Martindale's defense.
