The New York Giants currently hold the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. That selection may move even higher, based on their latest injury updates.
The Giants are prepping for the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. They're another team currently picking in the top ten and have dealt with plenty of injuries this season, too. Regardless, a loss may actually help wither team when it comes to their long-term plan.
Injuries = Top draft pick?
The Giants are already extremely shorthanded due to injuries, entering Week 14. Now, they'll be without even more impactful pieces against the Saints.
According to Brian Daboll, both starting offensive tackles, a rotational defensive lineman, a starting cornerback, and a defensive captain will all be out. They're considered week-to-week for now.
- LT Jermaine Eluemunor (quad)
- RT Evan Neal (hip)
- DL Rakeem Nuñez-Roches (neck)
- CB Deonte Banks (rib)
- LB Bobby Okereke (back)
The G-Men are not in a great place to be competitive over the final five games of the season. That being said, they may have to get the top overall pick in order to get the quarterback they want most in the upcoming class.
Only time will tell. Plenty of football left to be played this season – but New York is extremely banged up.
