Brian Daboll put all his faith in Tommy DeVito for the New York Giants Monday Night Football matchup against the Green Bay Packers.

And the rookie did not disappoint, leading a game-winning drive. DeVito was given a simple message from Daboll before heading out there and it clearly worked.

So what did the head coach have to say?

“Go out there and rip that son of a bitch. Pretty simple,” Daboll told DeVito.

The quarterback then sent a message to the team, going off of what the coach had told him.

"Let's go win the game," DeVito told his teammates prior to the final drive. "It's on us. It's on the offense."

With just over a minute and a half remaining, DeVito led the Giants 57 yards, providing kicker Randy Bullock with the perfect field position to nail a 37-yard field goal.  And not to mention, DeVito went 4-for-4, passing for 53 yards on that final drive.

While the Giants late season run has been an amazing story unfolding in New York, this win made it even more impressive. The team is now one game back from the final NFC wild-card spot. And with the way DeVito is playing, they can certainly still make the playoffs.

And this has also made it pretty clear that DeVito will remain the starter.

Prior to this game, Tyrod Taylor was taken off injured reserve, but Daboll decided to stick with DeVito as the starter. And when asked about that decision, the head coach made his opinion clear.

Earned the right to play [Monday], and earned the right to play next week," Daboll said. "The kid's done a good job."

He finished the game gong 17-for-21 with 158 passing yards and a touchdown.
