The New York Giants are not ready to make any major changes at the front of their franchise. The latest comments from CEO John Mara caught the NFL world on fire before the Giants face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.

Mara urges patience regarding coach and front office

The Giants co-owner, CEO, and president is preaching patience for the franchise. He does not believe that changes at head coach or general manager will be on the table during or after this season.

They are committed to seeing the process through with Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen, according to Mara.

“Obviously we’re all very disappointed with where we are right now. But I’m gonna say one thing: we are not making any changes this season. And I do not anticipate making any changes in the offseason, either.”

Before Daboll, the Giants' previous three head coaches have only survived two seasons each, respectively. None of Ben McAdoo, Pat Shurmur, and Joe Judge found success, and New York cut ties rather quickly. With this regime, they will get more time to prove themselves if Mara and co. stick to their word here.

Mara did not discuss quarterback Daniel Jones, on the other hand. This ode of confidence and patience may not extend to the QB position on the roster.

No matter what – more struggles for New York over the latter half of 2024 will only turn up the heat on everyone involved in the organization after this season.
