New York had quite the day on the free agency front, trading for one of the best tight ends in the league via Vegas and Darren Waller.

But while Joe Schoen and the rest of the Giants brass were making deals, the coaching staff was tending to other matters.

Clemson held their Pro Day today and amongst those in attendance was a bevy of Giants personnel.

New York currently holds the 25th pick in round one of the NFL Draft.

With multiple prospects on the defensive side of the ball, the Giants made sure to do their homework on the group of Tigers.

Some of New York's day-one free agent signings addressed positions of need in the front seven, but that doesn't mean the Giants cant add more in the draft.

Myles Murphy, Brian Bresee, and Trenton Simpson were the main features with KJ Henry also in the mix.

Murphy and Henry and long, stout pass rushers who win at the point of attack. That's not exactly the type of player the Giants covet defensively, but Murphy shows the ability to be versatile in his alignment.

Bresee is a cat-quick three technique that is best suited for even fronts, once again making him a tricky fit for New York.

The only one not named? How about the one that fits best:

Trenton Simpson

An athletic marvel who took the NFL Scouting Combine by storm, Simpson is a unique blend of muscularity, fluidness, and explosion.

Sitting at 39th on the consensus board, Simpson is certainly at play with pick 25.

But New York has to hope a certain team to the southwest doesn't like him too much though, as the Steelers hold the 17th overall pick and are very fond of Simpson.

We'll see what everyone thinks of each other by April, but for now, New York may be tipping their hand.
