Flexing has become a consistent occurrence in the NFL during the regular season. The league alters certain matchups, especially in the latter half of the season. It can be for an assortment of reasons, including weather, viewability, fan bases, etc.

The NFL is currently considering making "flexing" games to Thursday night a possibility.

Giants owner John Mara is not a fan of the concept.

In fact, he doesn't want games flexed to Thursday or Monday night in respects to teams' season ticket holders as well as player safety.

Mara is absolutely correct.

Thursday night football is already more dangerous to players due to a lack of rest.

Changing schedules to potentially add more TNF games for certain teams only raises concern for injuries. Plus, season ticket holders plan their weekends according to team schedules, and altering them so heavily may put them in difficult situations.

It just doesn't make enough sense to put into effect for the NFL.

Hopefully, they will not begin to flex games to Thursday night anytime soon.
