The off-season is full of narratives in the NFL. A popular one regarding the New York Giants as of late has been around a rookie. Some folks have been concerned about the Jalin Hyatt's route running.
They don't believe it will translate to the NFL due to a small route tree. His breaks in and out of routes are a bit of a concern as well.
The Giants clearly didn't think those aspects would prohibit him too much t the next level when they took him in round three of the 2023 NFL Draft, though. Head coach Brian Daboll responded to the comments surrounding Hyatt.
Daboll doesn't seem too worried about those parts of the rookie's game. He likes how Hyatt can stretch the field for New York as he is a different type of WR than most of the talent on the Giants roster.
It's definitely something to keep an eye on this season. Daboll has Hyatt's back, regardless. That's good to see from a coach.
