The New York Giants made a splash signing on defense by adding linebacker Bobby Okereke. Now, they could be bolstering their linebacker depth once again.
According to reports, New York is hosting former Pro Bowl LB Deion Jones for a visit today.
The addition would make plenty of sense.
Jarrad Davis is the starting linebacker opposite of Okereke right now, and his play has been extremely inconsistent over the past couple of seasons. Jones would provide veteran experience and upside.
In his career, he has totaled 696 tackles, 11 sacks, and 12 interceptions.
He had a handful of fantastic seasons in Atlanta. Jones played for the Cleveland Browns last season.
It is a situation worth monitoring for Giants fans.
