Giants to receive massive upgrade at important position
Giants got exactly what they needed most on defense.
The New York Giants are making another important addition. After adding some depth on the defensive line earlier today, they are grabbing a top linebacker off the market.
The Giants are set to sign former Indianapolis Colts LB Bobby Okereke to a four-year, $40 million deal.
Okereke has been the firecracker in the middle of the Colts defense over the past couple of seasons.
His development has been really impressive. Okereke will now lead the linebacker room in New York.
In his final two seasons in Indy, he totaled 282 total tackles and two interceptions. He's a smart player in the run game and has shown to be an energetic leader for a unit. The Giants needed that desperately.
At just 26 years old, Okereke still has plenty of gas left in the tank to be a massive contributor at the NFL level.
